Kid-Friendly Activities In And Around Los Angeles
Happy Friday Los Angeles Families! If you are still working out your weekend family activities, I have a quick roundup of a few fun things to do with your kids around Los Angeles this weekend.
San Diego Kids Free – Time is running out for kids free in San Diego. If you are looking for a quick getaway, take a day trip to San Diego and visit one of the many family-friendly activities. Kids are free in October! My family favorite is the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, but there are so many great places to choose from.
Pumpkin Patches – There are only two more weekends until Halloween! Visit on of the Los Angeles area’s real working farms for an authentic pumpkin patch experience.
Peanuts Great Pumpkin Patch – It’s the 50th Anniversary of the great pumpkin this year. If you have a train nut or a Peanuts nut, take a trip to the Orange Empire Railway Museum and take the Peanuts Great Pumpkin Patch Express. You can pick a pumpkin to decorate and take pictures with the Peanuts characters. The event also features live entertainment, bounce house, food vendors and a hay ride. I’ll be there with my boys this weekend.
Boo at the Zoo – Have you been to the Los Angeles Zoo for Boo at the Zoo (through Oct. 31)? Make spooky crafts, sing along to the musical monster mash up and explore creepy caves. Costumes are encouraged, so take the opportunity to dress your kids up in their pricy costumes that they usually only get to wear once.
Artisinal LA’s Fall Show – Get away from the Halloween activities and check out Artisinal LA’s Fall Show, which features more than 150 indie makers, crafters and chefs. The family friendly event includes lots of kid friendly treats and activities.
Do you have any favorite fall activities? I’d love to hear about them!
